Tohoku University Technology: Measurement Method for Thermal Properties of High-Temperature Molten Conductive Materials: T05-271
A method for suspending and melting samples to measure high-precision physical property values (specific heat, thermal conductivity).
Currently, in manufacturing lines that handle molten silicon, molten metals, etc., efficient operation requires simulations using highly accurate physical property values, but sufficient physical property values are lacking. The present invention enables the high-precision measurement of physical property values such as specific heat and thermal conductivity by irradiating a sample in a molten state with laser light and analyzing the amplitude and phase difference of the temperature response. This invention maintains a high-purity state through floating melting and achieves high-precision measurement of physical property values by suppressing the vibration and rotation of the sample using a superconducting magnet field.
